You might recognize the young actor from his appearances in Two Broke Girls, Training Day and Instant Mom but his role in Warner Brothers’ newest blockbuster Space Jam: A New Legacy marked a career milestone for Ceyair Wright.

Space Jam 2 is a live-action animated sports comedy, where Lebron James and his young son, who dreams of being a videogame developer, rather than follow his father’s footsteps, find themselves trapped in a virtual space ruled by a rogue, A.I. Lebron must save his son with the help of his family and Looney Tunes partners in a basketball match against the Goon Squad.

The actor and athlete spoke to us about the big transition from tv to shooting a movie with an all star cast featuring Lebron James, Don Cheadle, and Zendaya. Ceyair shares “it’s been an interesting transition from being on smaller sets to something of this magnitude with Space Jam being a huge set with huge cast members and a huge budget.”

It’s certainly been a life changing experience for Ceyair who spoke to me about the moment he learned he booked the role and about his audition process. Now you’ve heard of people lying on their resume, well the actor did just that to land the role of Darius James who plays Lebron James’ eldest son in Space Jam: A New Legacy. Wright is an incredibly talented athlete in the game of football and he told casting directors that he was highly skilled in basketball. The moment that he got the call to let him know he booked the role, Ceyair was ecstatic. It’s a dream come true especially to be protesting Darius James alongside a talented cast.

This is just the beginning for Ceyair Wright who is excited to continue pursuing movie roles as well as other projects.
