Joel Deleon Talks About His Debut Single “La Culpa” and Life After CNCO

Joel Deleon is the Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and all around superstar who once formed part of the popular boy band CNCO. After making the decision to start his solo career, Deleon has been exploring different sounds and getting closer to his Mexican roots.


As he starts a new chapter in his career, he goes into it with a name change leaving behind “Joel Pimentel” and reintroducing “Joel Deleon.” The rebranding is important to Deleon who shares the reason behind the rebranding is because he wanted to honor his grandfather who played a huge role in inspiring Deleon and his career. 



His debut single “La Culpa” shares the narrative of a protagonist who feels guilty for betraying his girlfriend. Joining Deleon on the track playing guitar is two time Latin Grammy Winner Joss Favela and production by Latin Grammy Winner Orlando Vitto.
