Tainy & Yandel Take Over NYC Celebrating Release of “Dynasty”

by Natasha Melina

Reggaeton pioneers Tainy and Yandel have finally dropped their highly anticipated collaboration album “Dynasty.” The record commemorates the legacy of their 16 years of friendship and working together. What better way to celebrate than with a brand new album and new collaborations “Una Más” with Rauw Alejandro and “Si Te Vas” featuring Saint Jhn.

As fans waited eagerly for the record to drop, Yandel and Tainy took over the streets of New York City with their faces and album cover plastered all over the most notable billboards in Times Square. The two couldn’t visit without giving back to their fans who give them endless support. With the help of their team at Neon 16 and Puma’s flagship store on 5th avenue, they were able to organize a meet and greet with their most dedicated fans who formed a line wrapping around the large city block waiting their turn to meet the two legends on the release day of “Dynasty.”

In a press conference with New York City’s biggest media outlets and tastemakers, Tainy and Yandel had the opportunity to speak more about the album and the inspiration behind the concept of “Dynasty.” Both artists being huge fans of the NBA and Tainy admitting that if he weren’t making music his dream was to go to the NBA, they brought their childhood dream to life in a way that worked for them. For the album artwork, they are seen sporting custom made NBA inspired jackets that are three of a kind. Tainy and Yandel being the proud owners of two of them with Neon 16 CEO Lex Borrero owning the third.

Having worked together for 16 years and having a close brotherhood, I was curious to know about their work dynamic and whether they still have those moments of creative differences. Tainy proudly shares that the pair work so well together at this point where he knows exactly what Yandel wants without him even saying anything. With their incredible chemistry and talents, what matters to them is putting out good music for everyone to enjoy and they delivered with “Dynasty” which gives us an old school meets new school reggaeton vibe that has been on repeat since it dropped!
